ROMART 2017. INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL OF ART AND CULTURE IN ROME. 

Artists from all over the world in the impressive spaces of Domiziano stadium. Nov. 24th 2017 – January 10th 2018

Virginia participates in Romart 2017 with “GUN TRAFFIC IN AFRICA”. This is one of her militant works. The artist wants to sensitize people who see this child about the situation for thousands of children who live in countries like Central African Republic or other countries. Gun smuggling and mining (diamonds, minerals) force children into slavery and Western countries should act against it. Virginia wants to contribute to alleviate the general indifference through her individual work as a painter. Her militancy in this struggle begins with social awareness. She also worked for Doctors without Borders three years after she painted this work and she continues her struggle for social responsibility.

ROMART 2017, takes place in the MUSEUM SPACES OF DOMIZIANO STADIUM IN PIAZZA NAVONA. Not only does the Biennal happen in heart of the city of Rome but  in one of the most fascinating archaeological sites of the 1st century AD and in the impressive frame of Piazza Navona. The ruins of the ancient structure -UNESCO heritage- extend today in the subways of Piazza Navona, about 4.50 meters below the road surface. RomArt will be open to the public for more than forty days of exposition.

Virginia was selected by the curatorial choice of this edition that brings the Scientific Committee to make a selection of 150 works - one for artist - who will lean along the archeological path of the Domiziano Stadium. This year RomArt will also be a great attraction for the many exponents of the art world. This happens right in the symbol of an ancient melting pot and Mediterranean civilization: Rome Caput mundi. RomArt 2017 becomes a neuralgic center of exchange and dialogue, through a careful work of curating, valorization and creativity, which will fascinate the public and critical.

The idea of ​​a marriage between ancient and modern, between history and contemporaneity, is at the heart of the concept of an initiative that aims to REFLECT ON THE NEW GUIDELINES OF INTERNATIONAL ART LANGUAGES, always aware of the history and traditions of our cultural heritage. The prestigious location is a key attraction for a kind of transversal fruition, from passionate to collectors to the general public, offering greater VISIBILITY to the works. ROMART 2017. BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DEL ARTE Y LA CULTURA EN ROMA. 

Artistas de todo el mundo en los espacios impresionantes del estadio Domiziano. 24 Nov 2017 - 10 Enero 2018.

Virginia participa en Romart 2017 con "TRAFICO DE ARMAS EN AFRICA". Esta es una de sus obras militantes. La artista quiere sensibilizar a las personas que ven a este niño sobre la situación en la que viven miles de niños en países como República Centroafricana u otros. El contrabando de armas y la minería (diamantes, minerales) obligan a los niños a la esclavitud y los países occidentales deben actuar contra ello. Virginia quiere contribuir a aliviar la indiferencia general a través de su trabajo individual como pintora. Su militancia en esta lucha comienza con la conciencia social. También ha trabajado para Médicos sin Fronteras tres años después de pintar esta obra y continúa su lucha por la responsabilidad social.

ROMART 2017, se desarrolla en el MUSEO ESPACIOS DEL ESTADIO DOMIZIANO EN PIAZZA NAVONA. La Bienal no solo tiene lugar en el corazón de la ciudad de Roma, sino en uno de los yacimientos arqueológicos más fascinantes del siglo I d.C. y en el impresionante marco de Piazza Navona. Los restos de la antigua estructura, patrimonio de la UNESCO, se extienden hoy en el sótano de la plaza a unos 4,50 metros por debajo del nivel de la calle. RomArt estará abierta al público durante más de cuarenta días de exposición.

Virginia fue seleccionada en la elección de los curadores de esta edición que llevó al Comité Científico a elegir 150 obras, una por artista, que se alinearán a lo largo de la ruta arqueológica del Estadio Domiziano. Este año RomArt también será una gran atracción para los muchos exponentes del mundo del arte. Esto sucede justo en el símbolo de un antiguo crisol de culturas mediterráneas: Roma Caput Mundi. Así, RomArt 2017 se convierte en un centro neurálgico de intercambio y diálogo, a través de un cuidadoso trabajo de comisariado, valorización y creatividad, que fascinará al público y a críticos.

La idea de un matrimonio entre lo antiguo y lo moderno, entre historia y modernidad, está en el corazón del concepto de una iniciativa que apunta a REFLEXIONAR SOBRE LAS NUEVAS DIRECCIONES DE LOS LENGUAJES ARTÍSTICOS INTERNACIONALES, en un enfrentamiento, siempre consciente, con la historia y las tradiciones de nuestro patrimonio cultural. ROMART 2017. BIENNALE INTERNATIONALE DE L'ART ET DE LA CULTURE À ROME

Artistes du monde entier dans les espaces impressionnants du stade Domiziano. Du 24 novembre 2017 au 10 janvier 2018.

Virginia participe à Romart 2017 avec " TRAFIC DES ARMES EN AFRIQUE". C'est l'une de ses œuvres militantes. Elle veut sensibiliser les personnes qui voient cet enfant à la situation dans laquelle milliers d'enfants vivent aux pays comme la République Centrafricaine ou d'autres. La contrebande d'armes et le travail dans les mines (diamants, minéraux) force les enfants à l'esclavage et les pays occidentaux doivent agir contre cette situation. Virginia veut aider à soulager l'indifférence générale à travers son travail individuel de peintre. Son militantisme dans ce combat commence par la conscience sociale. Elle a également travaillé pour Médecins Sans Frontières trois ans après avoir peint cette œuvre et elle poursuit sa lutte pour la responsabilité sociale.

ROMART 2017, se déroule dans les ESPACES DE MUSÉES DU STADE DOMIZIAN à PIAZZA NAVONA. La Biennale a lieu non seulement au cœur de la ville de Rome, mais aussi dans l'un des sites archéologiques les plus fascinants du 1er siècle après JC. et dans le cadre impressionnant de Piazza Navona. Les restes de l'ancienne structure, patrimoine de l'UNESCO, s'étendent aujourd'hui dans le sous-sol de la place à environ 4,50 mètres en dessous du niveau de la rue. RomArt sera ouverte au public pendant plus de quarante jours d'exposition.

Virginia a été sélectionnée lors de l'élection des conservateurs de cette édition qui a conduit le comité scientifique à choisir 150 œuvres, une par artiste, qui seront alignées le long de la route archéologique du stade Domiziano. Cette année, RomArt sera également une grande attraction pour les nombreux représentants du monde de l'art. Cela se passe juste au symbole d'un ancien creuset des cultures méditerranéennes: Rome Caput Mundi. Ainsi, RomArt 2017 devient un centre névralgique d'échange et de dialogue, à travers un travail soigné de conservation, de valorisation et de créativité, qui fascinera le public et la critique.
